I know many of my followers do not send out Valentine’s cards or do the treat thing and that’s okay. It may be because they think of Valentine’s Day in it’s traditional form, a day for lovers.
I like to use the day to simply tell someone I’m either thinking of them or I love them. That includes my husband, of course, and my 25 year old daughter but also my sister and my now over the ages of 20 niece and nephews.
And, Valentine’ Day gives me yet another opportunity to sit at my craft table and create. I didn’t have to think very hard about what to make – the Occasions catalogue presented ideas right off the pages.
Take a look at pages 18 and 19. Wow! Shades of pink, white and gold! Unfortunately the images do not give justice to the designer series paper. It is absolutely gorgous. And heavy weight so it’s perfect for gift packaging.
With the new Occasions catalogue, making something heart themed was pretty easy. The designer series paper was reason enough to make cards and boxes because it’s so gorgeous. Pink and gold – it doesn’t get better than that.
The stamp set Sure Do Love You with coordinating framelits that make an adorable box is what I started with. I made four cute cards with matching envelopes using the new sized note cards and envelopes, item #145583. I even lined the envelope flaps by using the 2-1/4″ circle punch.
The framelits makes a box to fit the cards and envelopes and is the perfect size to slide in some heart shaped chocolates or those cinnamon hard candies that are so popular.

Well thank you very much. I just love that little box and the cards/envelopes.
