How many of you have sent away for a DNA test and the results indicated that you are part Irish?
I have not done this however I am of European descent so I wouldn’t be surprised to find that out. I mean, you never know. I have been fascinated with the history of Ireland; from pictures, books I’ve read and movies I’ve seen, it is a beautiful country. And what about those accents? One of my favourite authors is Maeve Binchy – I’ve ready practically all of her books.
Many people, Irish or not, like to partake in St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. I mean, any excuse to drink beer even is it is green. I don’t care for beer but I love the colour green. It’s my favourite.
I have enjoyed researching various ways to make a shamrock from paper and punches and this is what I cam up with for this card. I hope you enjoy.
This clover uses four hearts cut out using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits. The card stock base is Old Olive. The Sweet Soiree Specialty DSP measures 4 x 5-1/4. The Whisper White piece measures 3 x 4-1/4 inches with a piece of Old Olive that is 1/8″ larger. I used some retired gold thread and a gold button to finish off the shamrock. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
