Welcome to the second Seashore Stampers Blog Hop. We are still encountering some newbie technical difficulties with linking to each others blogs. We appreciate your patience as we keep learning more.
The theme for this month is gift packaging for stocking stuffers. I have a daughter and picking up things for her stocking is always easy. Anything nail related, anything soapy related, anything lip balmy related so with this in mind I found a cute cracker style package that would work well for a new nail polish or lip gloss.
Although I made Christmas cracker style boxes last year using the envelope punch board, I found this idea from Ann’s Happy Stampers. Only one end of the box has the cracker closure and I loved the use of vellum.

You basically start with a piece of vellum that measures 6 x 6 inches. Place it on your score board and score at: 1-3/8, 2-3/4, 4-1/8 and 5-1/2 inches. Rotate the vellum 90 degrees and score at: 1, 1-1/2, 2 and 4-5/8 inches. Fold and burnish all score lines.
Unfortunately Ann made a slight error in punching the vellum on the envelope punch board and that’s why she struggles to pop the top down. Before starting to punch, you need to fold over the narrow edge and punch, then fold over the next score line and punch and so on. Lastly, flip the paper over and punch the last hold on the bottom edge.
Take a look at Connie Stewart’s ‘Merry Moments Christmas Cracker‘ video to see how you punch but remember, that on my project, you are only doing one end. The opposite end is folded like a box. Fast forward to about 4:40 minutes to see where she does the punching.
I used two stamp sets: Totally Trees for the silver embossed trees (on all found sides) and Merriest Wishes and the coordinating Merry Tags framelits. I will list all the other products below in case you’d like to purchase anything from my store. I will be place a group order at the end of this month.

Love this! Great stocking stuffer!
Thank you Sabrina. Must remember to put in the item before tying the ribbons.
