Hello my fellow stampers and lovers of all things paper crafted.
This month, we are making projects using products from the Holiday Catalogue. I chose one of the four Halloween stamp sets featured on pages 48-51, the one called Cauldron Bubble. I purchased the bundle so I got the framelits as well and I just fell in love with the designer series paper. Stampin’ Up! chose two of their newest colours, Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green to include in the colour scheme and wow, these pack a punch together with the always popular Pumpkin Pie, a favourite for the fall.
These are the pieces you need to create this card:
Thick Whisper White, 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2 inches.
Granny Apple Green, 5-1/4 x 4 inches
Piece of DSP, 5 x 3-3/4 inches
A strip of Gorgeous Grape, 3/4 x 5-1/4 inches. Run this through with an embossing folder; I used the Quilt Top embossing folder.
Using Memento Black ink, stamp the ghost and the cat and colour. I used the Stampin’ Blends markers as I love how they blend the colours into each other. Creates amazing shading. Cut them out with the coordinating framelits.
Stamp the greeting on a piece of scrap and flag the ends.
Using the spider web framelit cut this out in silver foil. Now here’s my sales pitch: I am now using the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets found on page 213 of the Annual Catalogue. These sheets are made by Sizzix, the same company that makes our embossing folders and thinlits/framelits. You simply cut a piece to the same size of the cardstock you plan to cut the framelit from and stick them together. Run the die through the Big Shot and then simply peel the backing off. And voila, the framlit is covered with adhesive making it much easier to adhere to your project.
To get the two circles cut in the DSP piece, I pulled out my 1-3/8″ circle punch. Holding the paper upside down, I aligned the edge of the punch with the edge of the paper, inserting the paper to the end of the punch.
Now, the fabulous thing about this suite is that some of the images on the papers can be cut out using the framelits. I cut out a cauldron from one of the sheets. Since I wanted to stick the cauldren down with a couple of dimensionals, it needed to be a little more sturdy so I also cut the cauldron on whisper white thick cardstock.
Now that you have all your pieces ready here is the assembly.
On the back of the DSP piece, run a piece of tape just below each circle and stick the ghost and the cat onto each, just so they peek out of the window.
Adhere this DSP onto the Granny Apple Green piece.
Adhere the Gorgeous Grape strip, then wrap a piece of the ribbon; I use Scotch Tape to glue the ends to the back.
Adhere this Granny Apple Green piece to the card base. Use dimensionals to pop on the greeting and the cauldron.
Have fun making this card.

Happy stamping everyone!
