With Easter just around the corner this month’s Blog Hop is devoted to showcasing a hand made project for this springtime event. Most of us purchase some treats for our children, husbands, grandchildren. etc. so there are lots of options for packaging up such sweet gifts.
For example, you could purchase a set of mini egg cartons, fill with treats and decorate the exterior. Or, in the Annual Catalogue, there are varying sizes of cellophane bags. Fill them up ad tie with ribbon or create a bag topper.
As for creating cards, take a look at page 18 in the Occasions catalogue to see a wonderful stamp set and coordinating framelits.
I will be making a number of things but here I am showcasing a card to send to my sister and her family. I used the Basket Bunch stamp set and coordinating framelits to create this card.
This was a labour of love as there were quite a few pieces to cut out using the framelits plus the colouring of the bunnies but it was so fun to make. If you look carefully at the photo, you will see the top half of the baskets extend beyond the top of the card. This was achieved by cutting a pieces of the thick Whisper White card stock to measure 6 x 5-1/2″. On the 6″ side, score at 3″, fold and burnish. The finished card base now measures 3 x 5-1/2 inches. When adding the baskets, be sure not to extend higher than 4-1/4 inches otherwise the finished card will not fit inside the A2 envelope.
I hope you enjoy this card and if you have any questions, please leave it in the comment section.
The supplies used are listed below. Please note that the glimmer paper is a limited time offer and is a free item you can earn with a $60 minimum order (before shipping and taxes) during Sale-A-Bration which ends March 31 so if you would like to purchase any of the products used for this card project, order through my online store or send me your order via email.

Okay so here is a funny thing. That first picture, with the egg cartons – not my project – it's a picture from the catalogue to explain the products. I had forgotten to include the picture of the card I made. Now updated.
