I’m participating in a weekly colour challenge created by my upline Sue and I’m challenging you to join me.
How it works: Sue will select a colour combination and post it to her team. The challenge is to incorporate these three colours on a card. The media used can be card stock, ink, or embellishments such as ribbon. We may be given one other base colour such as Whisper White or Very Vanilla as we need these colours for stamping on.
The first colour challenge is Peekaboo Peach, Wisteria Wonder and Smoky Slate.
Now you place those three stamp pads or card stock side by side and see what you think? Not very ‘together’ is what I thought. Oh well, on with the challenge.
I used the stamp set called Avant Garden, a Sale-A-Bration free item that, by the way, you can till get until March 31. It’s a versatile set because of the ability to build the flowers, lovely greetings and a bit of background grunge.
Here is the card I created:
I loved this card so much, I decided to make another one.
The colours here are Pacific Point, Tip Top Taupe and Calypso Coral and this choice was inspired by a card recently send to me. I decided to film the making of this card so that, if you like, you can make one as well. If you don’t have these colours, challenge yourself and pick 3 of your own colours. If you don’t have this stamp set, use any other floral set you have. I would love to see what you create so send me a photo.
Here are the card measurements:
Card base – thick whisper white 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
First layer – Peekaboo Peach 4″ x 5-1/4″
Second layer – Smoky Slate 3-1/2″ x 5″
Stamping layer – Shimmer White 3-1/4″ x 4-3/4″
Happy Stamping!
