Kylie’s International Blog Highlights Winners Hop – A Peaceful Thank You

Welcome to my blog. I am so excited to be included in Kylie’s Top 10 winners.

The ongoing theme is ‘thank you’.

I send a lot of thank you cards. I learned as a child to say thank you for practically everything – and was encouraged to make and send thank you cards, starting with saying thank you for any gifts I received. My first memory of the cost to post a thank you ard was eight cents.

As I progressed into adulthood, I continued to send thank you cards for just about any reason – a helping hand, a dinner, lunch, a good time. Now, it can cost a small fortune, especially when adding holiday cards and birthday cards but I think it’s worth it. Sure, an email may suffice but think of the feeling you evoke with a hand made card, something the recipient can touch and display to reveal how special they are.

Using the beautiful Peaceful Poppies Suite of products, this is one of many thank you cards I have created.

Card Recipe

Petal Pink card base that measures 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″.
Flirty Flaming layer 4-1/4″ x 2-3/4″
Whisper White layer 4-1/4″ x 2-1/2″
Whisper White layer 4″ x 5-1/4″ (inside layer)

I think the card design is petty self-explanatory but if you have any questions, please enter into the comment section.

I should mention that I coloured the silver-edged white ribbon with the Flirty Flamingo Blends and set aside to dry. I then wrapped it to the back of the Whisper White stamped piece and created a false bow.
