With the cold and flu season well upon us, I thought I should make a couple of get well cards ready to send out and help cheer someone up. I had a few pieces of rejected cardstock and DSP from another project that I used on this card and the horizontal version you will see below.
The Harvest Hellos stamp set is great for not only get well cards but as teacher cards and Halloween cards. The coordinating Apple Builder punch allows you to punch out either the apple or pumpkin and create dimension. In the video, I show you how to make even more dimension by creating a layered apple.
Cutting & Scoring Measurements
Cardstock:
Very Vanilla Thick – 4-1/4″ x 11, scored at 5-1/2″
Crumb Cake – 4″ x 5-1/4″
Granny Apple Green – 3-3/4″ x 5″
Very Vanilla – 3-3/4″ x 5″
DSP:
Toile Tidings – 3-3/4″ x 5″
Emboss the Crumb Cake piece with the Basket Weave embossing folder
From
the set of Stitched Rectangle dies, use the second from the outside and die-cut both the Granny Apple Green cardstock and the piece of DSP. Cut both of these pieces in half. Use one set for this card and keep the second set for another card. Watch the video for the rest of the instructions.
