Hello my fellow card-makers,
My downline, Adrienne, hosted a card class featuring Canada Day cards using the Colorful Seasons stamp set. Adrienne designed four fabulous cards, one of which featured a cute beaver using the Fox Builder punch. So cute!!! This stamp set is perfect for Canada Day because it has two different sized maple leaves with coordinating framelits. Check out Adrienne’s blog post here.
One card is scored multiple times along the horizontal edge and then folded to create waves in the flag. I made another card using this same folding design and am sharing it here with you.

To make this card cut a piece of Thick Whisper White card stock to measure 4-1/4″ x 11 and score and fold at 5-1/2″.
Along the horizontal side, score at 3-3/4″, 5-1/2″ and 8-1/4″.
Flip the card stock over and score at 6″ and 8-3/4″.
Now, to avoid the card stock from cracking, be sure to fold and burnish on the mountain sides of each score line.
Your card should look like this:

Decorate it however you want. On the one I made, the two red strips measure 1-1/2″ x 4″ and I ran them through the Seashore embossing folder.
I then stamped the large maple leaf from the stamp set – it’s a double stamp. I first stamped the outline and then I stamped the solid image after stamping on a scrap piece to remove some of the ink.
I then added Wink of Stella. The lettering on the inside of the card comes from the Labeler Alphabet stamp set.
If you’d like any of the products featured in this card, you can find them in my online store. If you have trouble finding anything, drop me a comment here and I’ll give you a hand.
Whatever your plans, have a wonderful Canada Day.
Happy stamping!
