This is a different take on a fun fold which I think you might enjoy making. With Halloween around the corner, I needed a few more cards to send out to family and friends. I learned this one from a fellow demonstrator during a monthly stamping group called the Seashore Stampers. You may have seen posts on my blog related to the projects we make during this meeting.
This card is a basic card base in landscape orientation. You then cut off 2-3/4″ from the front and use it to create the front layer. All is explained in the video below. I used the Designer Series Paper called Magic in the Night and the images are from the Hallows Night Magic stamp and die bundle.
I love making Halloween cards and this year’s papers combine some interesting colours: Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze and Pretty Peacock. The cat punch is still available in the annual catalogue.
Here is what it looks like on the inside:
Cutting & Scoring Measurements
- Pretty Peacock card base, 4-1/4″ x 11, scored at 5-1/2″
- Whisper White cardstock, 4″ x 5-1/4″ and 4″ x 2-1/2″
- DSP, 4″ x 2-1/2″
- scrap pieces of Whisper White and Blackberry Bliss for the label
