Welcome to October’s blog hop featuring packaging ideas for Christmas.
I’ve chosen to do a set of gift tags. These make fabulous gifts for your neighbours, co-workers, friends, family – you can also tuck them into a Christmas stocking.
I used the pizza boxes from Stampin’ Up! I love these! You get 8 to a package for $8. Perfect for the 3×3 white envelopes and gift tags and they are food-safe, so you can put in a cookie or some homemade fudge or peanut brittle, or chocolates. The stamp set is called Merry Little Labels and this comes bundled with a new label punch for 10% off in the holiday catalogue. And to get the most use of the label punch, there is another coordinating stamp set called Labels for Love.
After decorating the lid and adding the new Real Red 1/8″ Solid Ribbon, the Green Sprigs and the Mini Ornaments, I made three gift tags with envelopes to go inside.
To make the gift cards, I took a piece of 8-1/2 x 11 inch card stock and cut it to 6 x 9. On the 6 inch side, I scored it at 3 inches to make the fold for all three cards. I then turned the card stock to the 9 inch side and cut it into three 3″ strips.
The DSP I used is called Be Merry from the Annual Catalogue and I cut 3 squares measuring 2-3/4″.
For the box top, I cut a piece of Garden Green measuring 3-1/4″ square and the DSP at 3″ square.
Keep in mind that these pizza boxes can be used for any occasion. I’m hoping they stay around for a long time.
I hope you enjoyed this project and will use this idea for your own gift giving this holiday season. All of the supplies can be found in my online store or you can call or email me your order.
Happy stamping!
