I’m sure you have heard an expression similar to this one before – ‘KISS’ is the more common acronym – but no need to add the last word here.
After making quite a detailed card using the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set and coordinating framelits from the new Holiday Catalogue, I decided to go for something simple, a card you could easily create numerous times.
Here are the measurements for the card base and layers and the stamping details:
Card Base: Thick Whisper White cut at 8-1/2 x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
1st Layer: Cucumber Crush cut at 4-1/8 x 5-3/8″
2nd Layer: Whisper White cut at 4 x 5-1/4″
I embossed the top layer of Whisper White with the Softly Falling embossing folder.
For the stamping:
on a scrap piece of Whisper White I stamped:
- one tree in Cucumber Crush ink
- the wreath in Cucumber Crush ink
- the bow in Real Red ink
- the reindeer in VersaMark ink and embossed with gold powder
on a scrap piece of Cucumber Crush I stamped:
- one tree in Cucumber Crush ink
Using the coordinating framelits, I cut out all the pieces and punched out a couple of stars from gold glimmer paper. I added a couple of dimensionals to the back of the deer so he would stood out from the background.
All of the supplies are listed below. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate contacting me.
Oh, and here is a photo of the other, more detailed card I made.
