During a team meeting, I demonstrated how to make this accordion fold card. This is another great layout for using Designer Series Paper.
It look beautiful closed, but when opened up, it’s even more beautiful.
All but one panel is graced with this beautifully colourful designer series paper from the Pattern Party, a pack of 48 12″ x 12″ two-sided sheets. All of our papers are two-sided, giving you lots of options for colours and patterns but this one is unique in that the reverse side is multiple patterns in black and white. The patterns are not specific to any stamp set so you can use anything with them. And as I was writing this post, I realized there is no stamping on this card! Very unusual!
Cutting & Scoring Measurements
- Poppy Parade card base, 5-1/2″ x 11, scored on the long side at 4-1/4″, 7″ and 9-3/4″
- Basic White cardstock, 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″
- Designer Series Paper, 4″ x 5-1/4″, 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ and 1″ x 5-1/4″
Be aware of the direction of the print and orient correctly on your paper trimmer then cut at 5-1/4″ (x 12″). With the 12″ side along the top of the trimmer, cut a piece at 4″. Cut the next piece at 2-1/2″. Cut the third piece at 1″. I will show you how in the video below.
Oh and the card stands beautifully for displaying on a desk or mantel.
