Hello again,
This week let me introduce you to a gift card holder that serves as a greeting card, all in one.
We will more than likely not be able to travel to visit family and
friends over the holidays, so sending gifts in the mail will be the alternate way of delivering gifts. However, sending bulky packages can be expensive.
Gift cards have always been popular, particularly now that more people are shopping online. There are many gift card holder designs to choose from but this one serves two purposes – a greeting card and gift card all in one. It’s not bulky because the card base uses a quarter sheet of cardstock.
This next photo displays the pocket inside the card.
Note the strip on the Whisper White piece? A better decision would have
been to use the other side of the DSP, as was done on the front of the
card.
I have created a video so you can see how this card comes together. But first, here are the cardstock and DSP pieces you will need and a list of the supplies used for this project is listed below.
Cutting & Scoring Measurements
Cardstock base: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
Cardstock layer: 4″ x 5-1/4″, embossed
DSP: 4-1/4″ x 12″, cut down to 4-1/4″ x 9-3/4″
Score on the long side at 3-1/4″ and 6- 1/2″
Cut leftover piece to 4-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ and keep other piece for the inside of the card
Before we carry on, you may enjoy the photos of the other ones I made. I used the Gift Wrapped bundle for this first one with the same Designer Series Paper. Love this paper! It has Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz, Real Red and Whisper White. The embossing folder is Hammered Metal.
This next card I used the Prized Peony bundle and the matching DSP to create a birthday version. The embossing folder is Parisian Flourish.
Product List
As always, I encourage you to watch the entire video before creating your own version. So, sit back, relax and enjoy.
Happy stamping!
