Hello everyone and welcome to another Fun Fold Friday video tutorial.
Mary Deatherage, a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in the U.S. made this interesting fun fold using the Jar of Flowers stamp bundle. She didn’t have a name for the fold so I’ve made one up – a flip & open fold. It’s not her original design as she found it on Splitcoast Stampers. It’s very difficult to find the original owner of a fun fold because they have been repeated numerous times by numerous demonstrators across the globe. But each of us puts a different spin on our creations as I have also done.
Mary’s card inspired me to pull out the same stamp set and coordinating Jar punch as I hadn’t used it yet. I have a number of jars, both clear and coloured, either with chalk paint or painted on the inside with a wash of colour. Add a few glass beads and wrap a bit of string, raffia or ribbon around the top and you have created a beautiful holder for your cut flowers.
After flipping up the front, you see another card on the inside.
You can decorate this inner card as you like but I used it for the greeting.
And the last panel is reserved for your personal message.
Some of the other supplies I used are the Rectangle Stitched Dies, Brick & Mortar embossing folder and the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. In the video, I demonstrate a colouring technique using a baby wipe.
Roccoco Rose cardstock, 8-1/2″ x 11″
Whisper White cardstock, 4″ x 5-1/4″
DSP, 4″ x 3-3/4″
