Any colour combination will work for this card. I love the one sheet of designer series paper for the black and white guitars that can be coloured to match your theme.
Cutting & Scoring Measurements
- Basic Black cardstock, 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored on the long side at 4-1/4″
- Lemon Lolly cardstock, 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
- Designer Series Paper:
- Guitar pattern, 2″ x 5-1/4″
- Marble pattern, 2″ x 5-1/4″
- Strip of black glimmer or any colour cardstock, 1/2″ x 5-1/4″
I like to prep all the pieces for my card before assembling. I coloured the guitar patterns with Real Red and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ blends. The guitar is stamped in Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Basic White cardstock, coloured and then die-cut.
From a scrap piece of Real Red cardstock, I die-cut the pic.
From a scrap of Lemon Lolly cardstock, I stamped the greeting and die-cut it with the coordinating die.
Using liquid glue, adhere the two strips of designer series paper to the Lemon Lolly layer. Next, adhere the strip to cover the centre seam. Now adhere this layer to the card base.
Adhere the guitar to the card using small dimensionals along the neck and liquid glue on the bottom of the guitar.
Using dimensionals, adhere the pic and the greeting.
I always decorate the inside of my cards and for sure, dress the envelope as well. Never let it go in the mailbox naked.
