I am quite pleased how this card turned out. It features the Christmas Gleaming Variety Bundle on page 19 of the Holiday Catalogue.
This bundle is just gorgeous and has been extremely popular. It may be due to the touches of copper or the coordinating colours of Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow and Pretty Peacock; the base colour is Very Vanilla. You really should give this bundle a serious thought before it all goes, if you haven’t already done so. All the supplies used in this project are listed below.
I have made z-fold cards before but this one has a 3″ x 4″ panel on the front. Note in the photos how the card base is one colour and the front panel is another colour.
This next photo shows you how the card opens up. You could choose to add another piece of DSP to the inside left side.
This closeup of the ornaments hopefully shows the dimension I created for the ornaments by punching and glueing several layers together (see video).
Here is a photo of the first card I made to test the design. I used the copper sided papers and punched the ornaments from the paper.
I love the creative options for the ornaments. Some are stamped, some are gold embossed, and others are punched from the papers. The video will show you how this card comes together along with tips for creating 3d effects for the ornaments and how to add foil to the tops.
